On August 24, Buildium released its latest software update. It features a resident site optimized for every mobile device, leading the way in our industry by letting residents electronically pay rent and other fees more conveniently than ever before.

We’ve also added more task details to task performance reports to give you a more in-depth view into the progress of residents’ maintenance requests.

Our new, fully responsive resident site is leading the industry by encouraging ePay via any mobile device

Buildium is leading the charge to help property managers and association board members collect fees on time, including monthly rent, by introducing a new resident site for smartphones, tablets, and every device imaginable. If you subscribe to ePay, now your residents will find paying monthly rent, association fees, late fees, and other charges more convenient than ever.

By encouraging residents to use ePay on their mobile devices, you can collect more rent and fees on time, which adds to your bottom line while also reducing (or eliminating) paperwork and the hassle of chasing residents for overdue payments. To make ePay more convenient, we’ve designed the new resident site with a clean, streamlined look and feel, and it includes all the features tenants are familiar with already.

The newly designed, mobile-friendly site also lets residents log and track maintenance requests, view your announcements, and follow replies in an email-like discussion thread. Additionally, property managers can create and oversee community discussion forums, a feature previously available only to community association board members.

We’re excited to be at the forefront of giving you the tools to work more efficiently by offering more convenient ePay and other self-help options for tenants using any size screen, on any device.

Take complete control over assigning, tracking, and completing maintenance requests

Our latest software release updates our task performance reports to provide you with even more visibility into your employees’ and vendors’ handling of tasks resulting from maintenance requests. In addition to the tasks performance summary, the new report now includes task details, which you can enable by selecting the “Summary with task details” option in the search criteria.

Selecting the task details option adds the:

  • Task ID
  • Property name
  • Task summary
  • Assigned duration
  • Vendor (if applicable)

The following task details also appear based on work status and Total Assigned durations for every work status section:

  • Completed tasks
  • Overdue completed tasks
  • In progress tasks
  • Overdue in progress tasks
  • Worked on tasks

Do you have an idea for a new feature?

We’d love to hear from you. Simply choose “Suggest a new feature” from the Help menu within the software to enter your suggestion.

Or if you’re not a customer, now’s a great time to take a 15-day free trial to see how easy it is to take charge of every aspect of your property management business with Buildium.
