We’ve got more good news: You can now automatically email receipts to your residents after they pay their rent or any other fees. Instead of having to generate a PDF version of the receipt, saving it to your computer, and then manually attaching it to an email, Buildium can automatically email the tenant with a PDF attachment of the receipt. This applies to manual payments created by you, as well as ePayments made by the resident through their portal.

To set this up in your account, head to Settings > Application Settings > Residents > Payment Receipts. Here you can select the option to always have a payment receipt emailed to tenants after a manual payment or epayment.

Payment receipts setting

When you start receiving manual payments, you’ll now see that the payment receipt is set to go out automatically, marked with a check.

If you have made a previous payment and want to resend a receipt, you can now click on the payment from the ledger and select the email receipt option.

As always, be sure to let us know what you think of this update. And let us know on User Voice what improvements you’d like to see to this feature!
