Tara was teaching herself HTML and Photoshop. A self-described nerd, she favored calculus to cheerleading in high school, and was your typical overachiever, balancing art courses with advanced Spanish language and English literature. After school you could find her volunteering at a music therapy program for autistic children, playing soccer, working as a receptionist, and tutoring. Safe to say, she is no stranger to multitasking.

Originally hailing from the rural town of Warwick, NY, Tara went on to study graphic design at SUNY Purchase College, where she became layout editor of the school’s newspaper and hardcore rugby player. After graduating she moved to Brooklyn to begin her career as a designer. She spent two years climbing the ranks at a boutique web design firm before she decided to forgo the Big Apple for Beantown.

Tara is Buildium’s only in-house web/graphic designer, which means that she is responsible for making everything as pretty as possible. As a designer, she’s fascinated by color psychology and geometric shapes. Like all of us if we’re honest with ourselves, she finds grids comforting, and she’s a sucker for good typography. When she’s not designing, Tara tries to get outdoors as much as possible: hiking, backpacking, or cross-country skiing. She loves animals, and spends the majority of her time at home following her pet cat and rabbit around trying to get the perfect photo for Instagram.

If so, head over to Margaritas Mexican Restaurant in Medford between 4pm-close. We’ll be there starting at 6pm to raise money for Team Buildium: Property Cycled in the MS ride, an annual charity bike race taking place next month on Cape Cod.

When you get to the restaurant, just mention Buildium, and the staff member will give you a handbill to give to your server. This handbill will tell your server that you want 15% of your bill to be donated to the MS ride and the fight against MS. Our goal is to raise $40,000 for MS research, and we need your help!

Thanks again for your support. We hope to see you at Margaritas in a few weeks!

Keep tenants updated on the status of their maintenance requests
Don’t leave tenants guessing about the status of their requests

Download a report of all completed and pending maintenance requests
